Chinese astrology signs compatibility is one of the oldest of all its type. History of Chinese astrology can be traced to thousands of years back, even before its western counterparts started appearing. And this form of astrology and zodiac hasn’t lost its importance with passing years; even today there are many who consult Chinese astrology regularly.

Out of the many consulting areas of Chinese astrology, signs compatibility is one of them. Chinese astrology signs compatibility is brought into use when one is willing to find compatibility of partners, lovers, friends, etc.

Chinese calendar astrology is based mainly on the lunar calendar. It is constructed considering the cycles of the moon. The way of construction of Chinese astrology calendar is different from the solar astrology calendar of the west.

Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Boar are the twelve Chinese astrology ‘animal’ signs. Some specific traits are looked for in these signs to determine compatible astrology signs.

Four groups have been formed of the 12 zodiac signs. This grouping is based on the identical thinking of the three constituent group members of each group. Even though the facets of each of this animal are different, but the thinking is believed to be aligned and similar.

The groups are as follows:

First group: mouse, dragon, and monkey. These are believed to be action oriented, positive thinkers who are true to their core and character. Each sign has some specific traits. Mouse is timid and coward; dragon has courage and is self-confident. Dragon has the ability to understand the complimentary traits of both mouse and monkey.

Second group: buffalo, snake and cock. These are considered deep thinkers. They are focused on the goals and their objectives. Buffalo signifies strength, but the diplomacy of the snake is what it values and desire. The cock on the other hand wishes to possess strength of buffalo and diplomacy of snake.

Third group: tiger, horse and dog. These are freedom-loving signs that wish for hassle free movement in every sphere. They believe highly in ego. Dog’s transparency and tiger’s excitability is what horse desires.

Fourth group: cat, goat and pig. This group comprises of peace lovers who believe in mutual co-ordination. They are highly considerate and sensitive animals. Pig wishes to have goat’s humility and cat’s cunningness.
